Former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria and ex-finance minister during the first term of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Adamu Ciroma is dead.
Daily Trust quoted family sources as saying that the elder statesman died in an Abuja hospital on Thursday after a protracted illness.
The deceased politician was a founding member of the People’s Democratic Party.
He was 84 years old.
