An Abuja court has ordered the arrest of the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Mahmoud Yakubu for shunning court orders in an era of impunity in the country.
Details are still evasive but the News Agency of Nigeria reported Wednesday that Justice Stephen Pam of the Federal High Court in Abuja issued the warrant, saying that Mr Yakubu had flouted court orders.
Disobedience of court decisions is prevalent in present day Nigeria under the watch of President Muhammadu Buhari.
