The Independent National Election Commission, INEC, has budgeted a whooping N6 billion for the feeding of police officers during the 2019 elections.
This is contained in the supplementary budget for the polls presented to the House of Representatives by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Shocked lawmakers are questing the figure and are asking the INEC chairman, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu, to defend it.
As at the time of filing this report, Prof Yakubu is defending the budget at the National Assembly.
