Embattled Nigerian Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has reportedly finally resigned from the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari following allegations of National Youth Servcie Corps, NYSC exemption certificate forgery.
Since the scandal was revealed 69 days ago by Premium Times, neither the minister nor President Muhammadu Buhari has officially responded to the allegation.
But rights groups and civic organisations have pressed for Adeosun’s sack. In fact there are at least two suits by concerned groups, seeking to compel the president to sack the finance minister.
Mrs. Adeosun had also served as a commissioner for finance in Ogun State.
In November 2015, Adeosun was appointed Minister of Finance under President Muhammadu Buhari after she had been cleared by the Department of State Services and by the Senate.
