No fewer than 14 people were killed by gunmen in fresh attack Tuesday night in Jol Village of Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, the caretaker chairman of the Local Government, Emmanuel Jagu has confirmed to the press.
He said fourteen people, including women and children were killed by the gunmen and security personnel in the area have seen the corpses.
This latest attack comes within hours after President Muhammadu Buhari condemned the recent violence in Jos over the weekend, in which several people were killed.,
The Tuesday night killing happened despite the calls for peace by Plateau State governor, Simon Lalong in his Independence Day speech.,
