National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole has dealt embattled Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode the final blow, after he pressurized Mr. Clement Ebri, the Chairman of the APC National Working Committee overseeing the Lagos governorship primary to endorse the result of the primaries held on Tuesday, which the latter had earlier rejected.
Recall that Mr. Ebri had on Tuesday cancelled the election, saying they had not conducted the election.
But CHECKPOINTCHARLEY has been authoritatively informed that after consultation with APC chairman, Oshiomhole, Ebri was pressurized to accept the results, which was announced by the Lagos State Chairman of the APC, Tunde Balogun on Tuesday night.
Mr. Jide Sanwo-Olu, the new political son of APC chieftain, Bola Tinubu, was declared the winner, with 970,851 votes, while Tinubu’s enstranged son, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode got 72,901 votes.
