Ex-Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, on Tuesday kept his word and submitted himself to operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abuja.
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, and a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, in a remarkable show of solidarity, accompanied Mr. Fayose into the EFCC office in Wuse 2, Abuja.
His lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN) was also present.
The former Ekiti State governor wore a customised T-shirt emblazoned with “EFCC I’m Here” over a pair of jeans and a face cap as he went into the EFCC building with a bag pack.
He told journalists how the EFCC deployed its men in his home, despite expressing willingness to honour the Commission’s invitation.
Wike and Ozekhome, on their part urged the EFCC not to abuse the former governor’s rights.
