Fayose Regains Freedom After 13 Days In EFCC Custody

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has been released from detention after 13 days in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

This was disclosed by his spokesman, Lere Olayinka, on his Twitter handle, @OlayinkaLere.

He tweeted, “Fayose just regained his freedom. He left the Federal High Court, Ikoyi a few minutes ago. We will meet @officialEFCC at the court from November 19. Thank you Nigerians.”

It is understood that he was released after fulfilling the terms of his bail.

The Federal High Court in Lagos had last Wednesday granted Fayose a N50m bail with two sureties in like sum.

However, Justice Mojisola Olatoregun ordered that Fayose be remanded in prison custody until he fulfilled his bail conditions.
