A day after losing the US House of Representatives to the Democrats, an angry President Donald Trump on Wednesday attacked journalists one after the other during a post-election press conference at the East Wing, White House, exposing his frustration over the election result despite declaring victory on Twitter.
The lowest point was when the US president shouted down CNN’s Jim Costa and insulted him over his question about the Muller Probe and the migrants caravan, which the president had used to energize his base in the build up to the midterm election. Trump had described it as an invasion of the United States.
Mr. Trump called the CNN White House reporter a “rude, terrible person,” saying that CNN should be ashamed of having him as a reporter.
