The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, on Friday reversed himself, recalling Dasuki Galadanchi to Imo State as the Commissioner of Police in charge of the Command 48 hours after he was redeployed.
Three Deputy Commissioners of Police and 11 Assistant Commissioners of Police, who were also redeployed to various states of the federation by the IGP, were also recalled in the unprecedented backpedaling.
Recall that Mr. Idris had on Wednesday transfered Galadanchi to Bauchi State and posted the current Commissioner of Police in charge of the Kogi State command, Ali Janga to Imo.
It is gathered that a signal on Friday morning recalled all the transferred Police officers with immediate effect.
No official reason has been given for the recall, one of the affected officers, who pleaded not to be named, said.
