Nigeria’s opposition political parties on the platform of the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) on Tuesday celebrated the exit of controversial Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, cutting a cake symbolising the end of his’ “era of shame and inglorious past.”
CUPP spokesman, Imo Ugochinyere told journalists in Abuja that a portion of the cake would be sent to Mr. Idris and President Muhammadu Buhari, saying the agenda for the incoming IGP is to release all political detainees, including Dino Melaye and Deji Adeyanju.
