The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has confirmed he arrived the capital of the United States of America, Washington, D.C.
Mr. Abubakar confirmed this via a post of his official Facebook Page on Thursday night, posting picture of himself on arrival accompanied by Senate President Bukola Saraki.
He wrote: “Just arrived Washington D.C for meeting with US government officials, Nigerians living in D.C metropolis and the business community. -AA”
The PDP presidential candidate said he is in Washington, D.C. for “meeting with US government officials, Nigerians living in D.C metropolis and the business community.”

Mr Abubakar’s arrival in the U.S. will certainly force his political opponents in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to bend their heads, after mocking the PDP presidential candidate continously, as a campaign strategy, over his inability to enter the U.S. for over a decade.
They had claimed that Abubakar has a case to answer in the US and would be arrested once he stepped his foot on American soil.
Mr Abubakar last visited the US in 2007.
