Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo on Tuesday met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja within the fringes of the meeting of the Council of State.
Also in attendance were former President Goodluck Jonathan, ex-head of state, Abdulsalami Abubakar and Senate President Bukola Saraki, governors, some ministers and former chief justices of Nigeria.
Also at the meeting was the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu, as the 2019 was on the agenda.
The meeting between Buhari and Obasanjo comes barely 42 hours after the latter released a damning 16-page letter, comparing the president with late miliatry dictator, Sani Abacha. He also accused Mr. Buhari of misusing the EFCC, CCT and police to deal with those he saw as his enemies.
Buhari however fired back, saying Obasanjo needed medical scrutiny.
