
Owerri, the Imo State capital, came to a standstill on Tuesday as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar took his campaign to the Eastern Highland, holding a mega rally at the Dan Anyiam Stadium Owerri.
Mr. Atiku later tweeted photos of the rally and said he is committed to restructuring the country to give the South East and every region in Nigeria more autonomy and voice in the affairs of the country.
“Together, we will bring more progress to our people,” he wrote.
He was accompanied by his running mate, Peter Obi, Senate President Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, party chairman, Uche Secondus, PDP governors and other party chieftains.
