The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has said that his party will win both the presidency and the Imo State governorship election.
Mr. Abubakar said this at the South-East PDP presidential rally which held in Owerri, the Imo State capital on Tuesday, slamming the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as an evil party that is determined to sink Nigeria.
The former vice president also accused President Muhammadu Buhari of not campaigning but plotting to rig the February 16 election.
“They are not campaigning, they only want to rig. We will resist them,” he said.
He added, “The reason we are here is that the PDP will take over Imo State. We will take over Aso Rock.
“We have promised jobs for our young men and women knowing full well that the APC party has turned the country into poverty.”
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, speaking at the rally, said Atiku was ready and prepared to lead Nigeria, explaining that he is man who has the capacity and will to unite the country again.
