The Federal High Court Lagos has convicted an ex-Administrative Secretary of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Christian Nwosu for benefiting from the $115.01m bribe money, which former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, allegedly gave to INEC officials to compromise the 2015 elections.
He was convicted of bribery on Thursday by Justice Mohammed Idris.
Mr. Nwosu had been charged with bribery by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The anti-graft agency accused the former INEC employee of getting N30m from the Diezani bribe money.
