Senator Shehu Sani has condemned the threat by Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, to kill foreigners who intervene in Nigeria’s electoral process, saying threatening foreignrs with body bags is not nationalism or patriotism, its fascism.
The senator representing Kaduna Central District at the National Assembly, who is a political rival of Mr. El Rufai, said this on Thursday in a tweet on his verified Twitter handle.
The Kaduna State governor had, on an NTA programme, threatened foreign election observers that if they intervened in the elections, they would be returned to their various countries in body bags.
The statement had sparked national outrage.
