The Federal High Court Lagos has discharged and acquitted former Governor of Oyo State, Chief Rashidi Ladoja, and Mr Waheed Akanbi, who was Oyo State Commissioner for Finance during his administration, both of whom were charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission with N4.7billion fraud.
Justice Mohammed Idris freed both men, saying the evidence brought before the court by the EFCC was not enough to ground a conviction.
