The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has overruled itself, okaying now the resumption of campaign by political parties ahead of the rescheduled elections.
INEC gave the directive after its meeting in Abuja on Monday, saying political parties and candidates can now continue campaign till Thursday midnight.
INEC chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, had on Saturday said there will be no campaigning despite the postponement of the presidential and national assembly elections by one week.
