2019 Elections: 72.7m PVCs Collected –INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday announced that 72, 775, 502 Nigerian voters have collected their Permanent Voter Cards.

The INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu, said this at a press conference in Abuja, revealing that out of 84, 004, 084 registered voters, 72, 775, 502 now have PVCs.

The figure represents 86.63 per cent of registered voters, who collected their PVCs.

According to the INEC boss, Lagos, with 5.5 million, has the highest number of collected PVCs, while Ekiti State, with 666,591 cards, has the lowest.

However, 11, 228, 582 PVCs remain uncollected as of today, Mr. Yakubu said, adding that all uncollected cards have been deposited at the Central Bank of Nigeria.
