Gunmen have kidnapped four officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the Tarka local government area of Benue state.
Nentawe Goshwe, the state resident electoral commissioner, confirmed the incident to TheCable but did not give further details.
The INEC officials are yet to be released as of the time of filing this report.
The gunmen reportedly diverted the electoral materials the officials were taking to polling units in the local government.
