Tinubu Meets Buhari In Saudi Arabia, Blasts PDP

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday met with Bola Tinubu, a national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his cousin, Mamman Daura in Saudi Arabia, where he is performing lesser hajj.

Sa’ad Abubakar, sultan of Sokoto; Isa Dodo, Nigerian ambassador to Saudi Arabia; Ismaila Isa, an associate of the president; Wale Tinubu, chief executive officer of Oando PLC; Najib Adamu, emir of Kazaure; Hakeem Fahm, commissioner of science and technology of Lagos state, were also present at the Iftar dinner (breaking of Ramadan fast).

According to a statement by Mr.Garba Shehu, presidential spokesman, Abubakar led prayers for Buhari’s second term in office, and for the nation to overcome current challenges.

Speaking after the meeting, Tinubu called on Nigerians to support the president in ensuring peace and stability in Nigeria as he attacked the Peoples Democratic Party, saying PDP leaders made “saucy and distractive statements’’ because of their “colossal defeat” during the 2019 general elections.

“Don’t blame them. They are handicapped by the traumatic feelings of the colossal loss of the election.

“You should help them to manage the trauma,” hw was quoted as saying.
