Mr Henry Adewumi, Deputy Registrar of West African Examinations Council in charge of School Registration on Wednesday told the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal in Abuja that President Muhammadu Buhari obtained a Cambridge University West African Examination certificate with five credits.
Adewumi stated this while testifying for president Muhammadu Buhari, one of the respondents in the case brought before the panel by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its presidential candidate in the last general election, Atiku Abubakar.
Interestingly, the WAEC registrar did not show any document to back his testimony.
Mr. Buhari on Tuesday opened his defence against the petition filed by the PDP and Atiku.
The PDP and Atiku claim to have won the presidential election, noting that the real results, according to them, were transmitted to a central server managed by INEC.
