Gunshots were heard as police operatives and soldiers forcefully dispersed members of the RevolutionNow movement, who converged at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, on Monday, for the start of the nationwide protest planned for today.
The protesters had arrived at the stadium around 7am on Monday for the kick off of the protest but met a detachment of policemen at the entrance of the stadium.
