Heavily armed security operatives have taken over the popular Unity Fountain, Abuja to stop a protest by #RevolutionNow supporters.
A combined team of anti-riot policemen and soldiers were seen at strategic positions around the fountain and the federal secretariat, in readiness to quell the planned protest.
Armoured tanks and a water cannon have also been stationed around the eagle square.
Meanwhile, the protesters were no where to be seen as at the time of filing this report.
Organizers of the protest had vowed to go on with the protest nationwide despite the arrest of its arrowhead, Omoyele Sowore.
Mr. Sowore was arrested in a Lagos hotel on Saturday by operatives of the Deparment of State Services, DSS.
