Ondo Judge Abducted On His Way From Abuja

A judge of the federal high court, Akure, Ondo state,Abdul Dogo, who was reportedly on his way from Abuja to Akure, has been kidnapped by yet to be identified persons.

Mr. Dogo was kidnapped alongside his driver at Ibilo/Isua Akoko axis, a border town between Ondo and Edo states on Tuesday.

An official of the court, who does not want his name in print, has confirmed that the kidnappers have contacted the judge’s family to demand a N50 million ransom.

Spokesman of the Ondo police command, Femi Joseph, confirmed Dogo’s abduction, describing the incident as unfortunate.

According to him, the command is working to secure the judge’s release.

This high profile kidnap case comes three days after Isa Rambo, an assistant commissioner of police, was abducted in Kaduna state while he was on his way to Jos.

Though he was released Sunday evening.
