
There was a show of lawlessness Friday morning as operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) reportedly disrupted the ongoing trial of convener of #RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore and his his co-defendant Olawale Bakare, and rearrested him less than 24 hours after he was released by the same DSS.
This rearrest is against a subsisting court order.
According sources, the operatives, had in a show of force, caused pandemonium in a court of law, chasing away the presiding judge, Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu and brutalized a TV-journalist.
DSS agents reportedly pulled their guns, causing also staff of the court to flee.
The DSS had kept Sowore in custody against court orders for his release before this rearrest.
Before he was released, the activist had spent 124 days in detention.
Sowore, who was arrested on August 3 ahead of a planned mass protest, is facing charges of treasonable felony and cyber-stalking.
It is understood that he would be arraigned on fresh charges.
