
Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), otherwise known as Shi’ites, on Monday in Abuja protested the killing of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani and his aides in a drone airstrike by the United States.
The Shi’ites marched and burned American flags at Banex, Wuse area of the Federal Capital Territory.
The protesters chanted hate songs and slogans such as ‘Death To America,’ as they condemned the killing of the Iranian commander.
They also demanded the release of their leader, Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky and his wife, Zeenat who are currently in prison custody.
