Obaseki Petitions IGP To Arrest APC Chairman Oshiomhole

Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki, has written a letter to Mohammed Adamu, the Inspector-General of Police, seeking the arrest of national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole.

Philip Shaibu, deputy governor of Edo, disclosed this to reporters in Abuja on Monday.

He confirmed that a petition seeking the arrest of Oshiomhole had been submitted to the office of the IGP.

Recall that governor had accused Oshiomhole of plotting to plunge the state into crisis, threatening to deal with Oshiomhole if he kept “disrupting activities” of Edo APC.

Shaibu furthersaid the petition would also be submitted to the relevant authorities, including the Department of State Services (DSS).

Oshiomhole an Obaseki have been having a running battle over the reelection bid of the latter.
