The supreme court has fixed Tuesday for hearing of the applications filed by Emeka Ihedioha, a former governor of Imo state, Festus Akande, spokesman of the apex court confirmed on Saturday.
Ihedioha had approached the apex court to review its controversial decision that sacked him as governor of Imo State.
The supreme Court had in a January 14 judgement that sparked protests nationwide and globally declared Hope Uzodinma, of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the duly elected governor of the state on the grounds that results from 388 polling units were excluded when the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the final results of the March 9, 2019 governorship election.
Mr. Akanade likewise confirmed that the court will also on Tuesday hear the application of David Lyon, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Bayelsa state.
Lyon was sacked by the apex court on the grounds that Biobarakuma Degi-Eriemienyo, his running mate, presented forged certificate.
But the APC candidate is asking the apex court to review the judgement which removed him as governor-elect 24 hours to his inauguration.
