
A Lagos man, whose identity is yet be ascertained, on Saturday jumped into the Lagoon around the Third Mainland Bridge, the Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, Nosa Okunbor, has confirmed.
Mr. Okunbor said rescue operation was ongoing.
The man, the PRO said, had boarded a car-hailing service, Uber, from Gbagada but while the driver was taking him to his destination, he told the driver to park on the Third Mainland Bridge, pretending to have stomach ache.
After parking, the man stepped out and jumped into the ocean.
“The incident happened around 11 am and our team has responded but I can’t confirm if he would be rescued alive or dead,” Okunbor added.
