Abel Ozioko, counsel to Olisa Metuh, has said Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court Abuja used his client to “carry out an experiment”.
Mr. Ozioko said this in Abuja on Tuesday as he reacted to the judgment, which sentenced his client to seven years in prison.
He described it as “a bad judgement, vowing to go on appeal.
Justice Abang had convicted Metuh, a former spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on seven counts of money laundering and sentenced him to seven years imprisonment.
“We have our appeal in our hands, I still have confidence in the law courts and we are heading upstairs to the three wise men to know whether he is right or wrong,” Ozioko said.
