An Abuja High Court has ordered the interim suspension of Adams Oshiomhole as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Justice Danlami Senchi, gave the interlocutory order on Wednesday, ruling that Oshiomhole should be on suspension pending the determination of the substantive suit.

The court said the party wrongfully continued to retain him as its National Chairman while he is under suspension as a member of the party.

The judge, therefore, ordered Oshiomhole to stop parading himself as the National Chairman APC.

He further directed the party to cease acknowledging him in that regard and that he must be denied access to the party secretariat.

Mr Oshiomhole had been suspended by the APC in Edo State after he was suspended by the party’s leadership in his ward in the state.

The former Edo State governor and the APC national leadership, however, claimed that only the party headquarters could suspend national officers of the party including the chairman.

Mr Oshiomhole is having a running battle with his successor in Edo and fellow party member, Governor Godwin Obaseki.
