Governor of Kaduna state, Nasir el-Rufai, has arrived in Awe town, Nasarawa state, to visit Muhammad Sanusi II, who was deposed emir of Kano on Monday and taken into custody.
The governor arrived at about 12:47pm on Friday.
It is understood from sources that Muhammad Sanusi II will be allowed to go out for Friday Muslim prayer with his visitor.
The deposed emir of Kano was all smiles as he received el-Rufai in his ”exile home”
El-Rufai, greeted the ex-monarch with a bow as they shook hands.
