
Nigeria has recorded two new deaths from complications of COVID-19 and 20 fresh infections, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) announced in a tweet on Friday night.
Eleven of the new cases were in Lagos, three in the Federal Capital Territory, three in Edo, Two in Osun and one in Ondo.
NCDC tweeted, “Twenty new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 11 in Lagos, 3 in the FCT, 3 in Edo, 2 in Osun & 1 in Ondo. Two new deaths have been recorded in Lagos and Edo State.
“As at 10:30 pm 3rd April there are 210 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria.”
With this development, Nigeria now has 210 confirmed cases of COVID-19 infections. Since the spread of the disease in Nigeria, there have been a total of four deaths, while 25 persons have been discharged after recovering.
Earlier on Friday, the minister of health, Osagie Ehanire said at a press conference that the federal government is expecting an 18-man medical team from China to help in the fight against Coronavirus.
