Bello el-Rufai, son of Kaduna state governor, has sparked outrage on social media platforms after he directed obscene words at a Twitter user during a heated exchange of words.
It all started on Sunday after Bello had criticized President Donald Trump’s handling of the COVID-19 crisis, currently ravaging the US, in a now-deleted tweet. He also took a swipe at governors of some states in the country.
“There is nothing as radioactive as an incompetent leader during a time of crisis. The United States of America is a case in point. A few states in Nigeria too,” he wrote.
Consigliere, a Twitter user with the handle @thano_zer, however, kicked against Bello’s opinion, stating that Trump had done better in delivering quality leadership than President Muhammadu Buhari.
“I don’t shield anyone who’s inept. I can’t say the same about you. You’re daddy’s boy and of course, nobody attacks the finger that feeds them. Buhari’s ineptitude is mind-blowing. Yes I said it and you’re not going to make me disappear,” he replied.

Consigliere’s tweet appeared to have infuriated Bello who hurled a series of offensive words at the Twitter user — one of which was sent via private message.
“This was what El Rufai’s son sent before blocking me. I’m not even Igbo and none of what he said got to me. He can’t call Buhari out for his ineptitude yet he’s calling trump names? Did he vote Trump?@ayabie_ikem @MobilePunch @Alaye_100 @HAHayatu @AishaYesufu,” the user wrote.

Bello had written: “This Daddy’s boy has heard your mother ability to take d**k is mindblowing. Especially one dipped in kerosene from Abia land. Sounds about fair. Despite the ineptitude, he is completing a bridge your Ebele couldn’t. You’re stuck with PMB and can’t do shit. How’s failed Daddy.”
“Oh and tell your mother I’m passing her to my friends tonight. No Igbo sounds please! Tueh.”
Hadiza, Bello’s mum and first lady of Kaduna, had distanced herself from the incident after being mentioned by the Twitter user.
“Don’t @ me. Sow the wind and reap the whirlwind. All is fair in love and war,” she wrote.
Bello’s outburst was, however, met with backlashes on Twitter as a number of users have since registered their annoyance on the microblogging platform.
“A mother is a mother and shouldn’t be disrespected no matter what. What Bello El-Rufai did was wrong. Periodt,” a Twitter user said.
“Bello El-Rufai is clearly from a home where bad behaviour has been overlooked & enabled by parents who should have known better. He should have been reprimanded and trained in his earlier years . Today, he is a spoilt child with no decorum threatening to rape someone’s mother,” another user said.
