A medical doctor, Chugbo Emeka, has died of coronavirus, the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) announced On Wednesday via a post on the association’s Twitter handle.
The doctor reportedly died on Wednesday, at the isolation ward of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), after being exposed to a COVID-19 patient.

So far, a total of 373 cases of coronavirus had been confirmed in 19 states across Nigeria and the federal capital territory (FCT). Out of that figure, 214 were recorded in Lagos.
