Nigeria Confirms 226 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Now 6,401

Nigeria has recorded 226 new cases of COVID-19 in 15 states and the federal capital territory (FCT), the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) tweeted on Tuesday night.

This brings the total number of infections in the country to 6,401, as the disease has spread to 34 states and the FCT.

The NCDC said only one fatality was recorded, the lowest death toll in the month of May, while the number of discharged patients increased from 1,644 to 1,734.
