Nigeria has recorded 313 fresh COVID-19 cases, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed in a tweet on Sunday evening.
This now brings the total number of infections in the country to 7,839 COVID-19, as the disease spreads to 34 states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
Lagos state recorded 148 new cases, bringing the total number of the infections in the state to 3,505, the highest in the country, the NCDC said.
While the number of recoveries increased from 2,174 to 2,263.
