The Executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ward 10, Esako Local Government Area of Edo State, have lifted the suspension earlier placed on the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole as a member of the party.
The APC National Vice Chairman (South South), Hilliard Eta, announced this in Abuja on Saturday, saying the party’s National Secretariat has been notified of the resolution by members and officials of the party from Oshiomhole’s Ward.
This comes barely hours after governor Godwin Obaseki defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Mr. Oshiomhole was suspended by the party in November last year after he fell out with Obaseki.
Because he was suspended as a member of the party, an Abuja high court therefore ordered that he could no longer validly remain as APC national chairman.
The Appeal Court had last week affirmed that decision.
But the lifting of the suspension by the ward that ordered it in te first place has now cleared the way for Oshiomhole to continue as chairman of the ruling party.
