President Muhammadu Buhari has asked the Nigerian Senate to confirm the appointment of his controversial social media aide, Lauretta Onochie, as a National Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission representing Delta State.
The request was made in a letter read by the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan during plenary on Tuesday.
The president also asked for the confirmation of Prof. Mohammed Sani Katsina), Prof. Kunle Ajayi (Ekiti), and Seidu Ahmed (Jigawa) as INEC commissioners.
