Bandits Kidnap 200 Islamiyya Students In Niger State

Armed Bandits have kidnapped at least 200 students of Islamiyya School at Tegina in Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State.

One person was shot dead while another was critically injured during the operation.

The bandits struck at about 4:30pm on Sunday, according to ChannelsTV.

A resident, Zayyad Mohammed, said the Salihu Tanko Islamiyya School was built by a retired Immigrations officer.

In February, bandits abducted staff members and students of Government Science College, Kagara.

They were later released after the payment of ransom.

The Police had yet to comment on the latest incident as at the time of filing this report.
