Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma has described killing of Ahmed Gulak as an unfortunate clear case of political assassination.
The governor said this while addressing Imo people in a broadcast at the Government House in Owerri on Monday, noting that he was shocked by the gruesome murder of the All Progressives Congress stalwart.
He stressed that the murder underscores the ugly security situation in Imo State at the moment.
According to the governor, recent events in the state do not represent the true character of the Imo people.
He however assured the people that the government will not leave any stone unturned in going after anyone or group perpetrating all the criminal activities in the state.
Mr. Uzodinma condoled with the families of those who lost their lives within the recent period of unrest, especially the family of late Ahmed Gulak.
