Gulak: Stop Ethnic Profiling, Igbos Are Not Killers – Okorocha

Former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha has warned other ethnic nationalities in Nigeria to stop ethnic profiling Igbo people, saying they “are not killers”.

Okorocha issued the caution on Thursdayin Abuja during the centenary celebration in honour of the former Premier of Eastern Nigeria, late Michael Okpara.

Okorocha said, “I appeal to all Nigerians to stop the ethnic profiling of the Igbo.

“They are not murderers, otherwise they won’t be in Kano or Lagos doing business.

“Indeed, we are passing through one of the ugliest moments of our history.”

This comes few days after the killing of an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Ahmed Gulak in Owerri, Imo State by unknown gunmen .

Mr. Gulak had conducted the APC primary election in Imo State prior to the 2019 general elections.

He had accused Okorocha of, among other things, taking him hostage and forcing him to announce the results in his favour.
