Fiery Lagos lawyer, Femi Falana, has said the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will get embattled Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, to face justice whether he likes it or not.
Falana said this when he spoke during a Twitter Spaces conversation hosted by one of the EndSARS activists, Rinu Oduala.
According to him, “Whether Abba Kyari likes it or not, the Americans are going to get him to stand trial.
“We want to make the government responsible and accountable, anybody who has been kidnapped, the family members who have paid ransom to have them freed.”
The human rights lawyer wondered that the Nigerian government which engaged in “gangsterism while dealing with secessionists, wants to follow due process in Kyari’s case.”
The FBI wants Kyari over his links with an international cyber fraudster, Ramon Abass, popularly known as Hushpuppi.
Reports said the FBI alleges that Hushuppi bribed Kyari to jail an errant gang member, Vicent Chibuzor, over a deal worth over $1.1 million.
