Senator Shehu Sani has asked the government of President Muhammadu Buhari to declare bandits as federal civil servants since it is becoming difficult for them to pronounce them terrorists.
The former lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central District at the 8th Assembly said this in a tweet on Monday morning,
He tweeted, “They [bandits] killed Muslim worshipers in their mosques in Niger and Katsina State; they killed Christians in their Churches in Kaduna State; if the Government doesn’t want to declare them terrorists, it should declare them federal civil servants.”
Despite calls by Nigerians and civil societies, the Buhari government has refused to label bandits terrorists.
Bandits have been killing, kidnapping and maiming people in the Northwest.
