Gunmen have reportedly killed at least three policemen in the Maryland area of Enugu.
The exact number of casualties are still unclear but sources said at least killed were killed.
The incident happened around Lomalinda Estate, where the gunmen kidnapped a man very close to Treasure Point, along Ugwuaji Road before engaging the police in a shootout.
When contacted, the Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe confirmed the attack.
He, however, did not give the casualty figure but said a manhunt for the hoodlums has commenced.
