Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has asked the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to thread the path of equity and zone the 2023 presidency to the South.
Akeredolu made the call in a statement on Tuesday, noting that with about 10 months to the general polls, it would be dishonest for anyone to argue against rotation at this period.
According to the governor the national chairmanship position was zoned to the North while all other offices were filled on that understanding.
Therefore, it is the time for the party leaders made a categorical statement, devoid of equivocation, on the pattern of succession, he said
He added that the next president must come from the southern part of the country, noting that the APC leadership should have no difficulty in making pronouncement on such an important issue, just as it has fixed various fees for the purchase of forms.
