
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party Peter Obi and his running mate Datti Baba-Ahmed on Sunday met with President Olusegun Obasanjo at his Abeokuta residence.
Also present at the meeting was the Senior Pastor of Trinity House, Ituah Ighodalo, a social justice activist.
Obi’s ally and a former United Nations official, Oseloka Obaze shared photos of the meeting on social media.
The meeting is believed to be part of Obi’s consultations ahead of the general elections next year.
Before Sunday’s visit to the former president, pictures of Obi’s visit to the former Military Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida, on possible consultation grounds had surfaced online.
Former President Obasanjo is widely believed to be helping in marketing Obi’s candidacy in tghe North.
