Bayo Lawal has been approved by the State House of Assembly as the state’s new deputy governor.
The lawmakers in the state gave the approval on Monday.
The former commissioner for Justice in the state now replaces Engr Rauf Olaniyan, who was earlier impeached by the Oyo State House of Assembly
He was removed after members of the Oyo House of Assembly presented and adopted the report of a seven-man panel set up by the Chief Judge, Munta Abimbola, to investigate allegations of gross misconduct levelled against him.
The deputy governor was found guilty of all the allegations.
